EPSOM- Mrs. Theresa D. “Nanny” (Croteau) Fontaine, 90, of Epsom, died peacefully on Friday, December 2, 2016 in the Epsom Healthcare Center after a lengthy illness.
Born in Manchester, Theresa was the daughter of the late Edmond and Imelda (Robin) Croteau. She attended Sacred Heart Grammar School and St. Mary’s High School. She resided on the west side of Manchester for most of her life.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as the Head of Mighty Mack Mills on Mammoth Rd. She later worked at the Epsom Healthcare Center as the Head of Housekeeping.
“Nanny,” as she was affectionately known, loved to read did a lot of crossword puzzles and playing solitaire. Above all, her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her main interest. She was devoted to the Precious Blood Monastery.
She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, John B. Fontaine in 1986, her son, John P. Fontaine in 2014, and her five siblings, Thomas, Andrew, Paul, Gerard and Stella Croteau.
She is survived by her devoted daughter-in-law, Diane Fontaine of Concord, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, her many nieces and nephews and her loving friends.
A Calling Hour will be held on Saturday, December 10th from 9 to 10 A.M. in the Still Oaks Funeral & Memorial Home, 1217 Suncook Valley Highway in Epsom.
