Elaine M. (Laforge) Letendre

SUNCOOK- Mrs. Elaine M. (Laforge) Letendre, 81, passed away on March 8, 2023 at the Concord Hospital after a period of declining health.

Born in Manchester, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Louise (Schmalfuss) Laforge.  She was raised and educated in Manchester and was a graduate of Central High School.

Elaine remained home for most of her life to raise her family and later went to work for Globe Manufacturing, where she remained for over 15 years before her retirement.

She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, word puzzles and reading.

She was predeceased by her husband, Maurice N. Letendre; her daughter Marion Gordon; her granddaughter, Kelly Gordon and her brothers, Robert, William, Peter and Francis Laforge, Jr.

Elaine is survived by her children: Michael Letendre and his wife Pamela of Manchester, Suzanne Miller and her husband Ross of Grafton and Kristie Long of North Carolina; her stepdaughter, Patricia Simpson of Montana; and two sisters, Maureen Laforge and Pauline Bazin both of Manchester.  She is also survived by her son-in-law, Philip “Sparky” Gordon of Pittsfield as well as 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
