Terresa “Tessa” McGroarty is originally from Massachusetts and settled in New Hampshire in 2022. She has been a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer since 2013. Her career in funeral service began when she was a junior in high school, when writing a paper about cemeteries connected her with local funeral homes for research purposes. This unknowingly was the steppingstone to her life’s calling.

Tessa was a 2013 summa cum laude graduate of the New England Institute at Mount Ida College where she received her associate degree in Science/Funeral Service. She was her classes’ sole recipient of the Dodge Award for academic excellence, worthy character traits and promise of outstanding contribution to the funeral service profession. Her ability to provide calming relief for families during their most trying days is a testament to her dedication to being kind, compassionate and understanding towards everyone she encounters.

Currently, Tessa resides in Manchester with her wonderful husband, Matthew, and beloved dog, Benni. They are communicants of St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Manchester. In her spare time, she enjoys trips back home to visit her family and friends, working in their yard, and deepening her faith.
