LOUDON- Walter R Lampron, 99, of Loudon, passed away on August 26, 2023 at Bedford Falls after a long period of declining health.
Born in Concord, Walter was the son of the late Fred C. and Emma (Lemaire) Lampron. He was raised and educated in Loudon, where he resided for most of his life.
An honorably discharged veteran, Walter served his country during World War II as a Private in the United States Army.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a Farm Manager for Merrimack County Farm for over 20 years. He also owned a small wood business.
Walter was a member of the American Legion Post # 88 in Loudon. He enjoyed snowmobiling and boating.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Sarah J. (Chesley) Lampron; his brother, Arthur Lampron; and sister, Helen Lampron.
Walter is survived by his three children, SueAnn McKeon and her husband Jack of Simpsonville, SC, Russell W. Lampron and his wife Linda of Burlington, NC and Marie Scott and her husband Rusty Flagg of North Myrtle Beach, SC; seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 29th from 10 to 11 A.M. in The Roan Family Funeral Home – Still Oaks Chapel, 1217 Suncook Valley Highway in Epsom. A Funeral Service will follow at 11 A.M. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Pittsfield. In lieu of flowers, donations in Walter’s memory may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd. Waltham, MA 02452.
