EPSOM – Sylvia Nickerson, 75, of Epsom, passed away following a lengthy illness on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the Concord Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Barnstead, she was the daughter of the late Harland Mandigo, Sr. and Della (Rowe) Mandigo.
Sylvia worked for many years as a bus driver for special needs children, where she received many awards for her services; but the gifts from her students meant the most to her. She also spent some time as a pizza delivery driver before her retirement.
She enjoyed playing bingo, going on road trips with her husband George and her unplanned trips to Foxwoods along with anytime she was able to spend with family.
Besides her parents, Sylvia was predeceased by a son, Richard Currier, Jr; her brothers, Elwin Mandigo, Warren Mandigo and Rhoda Palmer.
She is survived by her husband, George “Babycakes” Nickerson of Epsom, with whom she spent 20 years, the last 9 of them in wedded bliss; her son, Robert Currier and his wife Holly of Epping, daughter, Anita Frost and her husband Albert, Sr. of Epsom; brothers Harland Mandigo of Epsom, Leonard Mandigo of Deerfield; sister, Evelyn Fenstermaker of Raymond; ten grandchildren, Scott, Darryl, Ashley, Richard, Christopher and Travis Currier, Cassie and Joey Currier, Albert, Jr., Shane and Robbie Frost, Robert, Jr. and Richelle Currier; five great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
At her request, services will be held at a later date. The Still Oaks Funeral and Memorial Home in Epsom is assisting the family with arrangements.
