Simonne Y. (Grandmaison) Doyon

PEMBROKE – Mrs. Simonne Y. (Grandmaison) Doyon, 79, of Pembroke, passed away peacefully in the care of the Granite VNA Hospice House, surrounded by her loving family, on November 15, 2023 after a period of declining health.

Born in Allenstown, Simonne was the daughter of the late Armand Grandmaison and Eva (Pelletier) Auger.  She was raised and educated in Pembroke and was a graduate of Pembroke Academy.

For many years, Simonne provided childcare in her home.

She enjoyed traveling with her husband, trips to the casino, attending concerts and listening to country music.  She was a popular presence at the Suncook Senior Center and enjoyed playing games and interacting with her friends.

She was predeceased by her siblings: Jackie Brochu, Robert Grandmaison, Doris Grandmaison and Paul Grandmaison.

Simonne is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Maurice Doyon; her children: Norman Doyon and Diane Rondeau and her wife Michelle all of Pembroke.  She was the sister to Lucien Grandmaison and Laurette Pickard.  She is also survived by her grandchildren: Mason and Jordan Doyon; 2 great grandchildren: Sutton and Shepherd; as well as many nieces and nephews.
