Shirley Mae Girard

HOOKSETT- Shirley Mae Girard, 77, of Hooksett, NH, was called home to our Lord and Savior on Monday, August 21, 2023 at Maple Leaf Nursing Home.

Born January 9, 1946, in Waterfall, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Preston and Ruth (Price) Taylor. She was married to Victor R. Girard who preceded her in death on June 30, 2009.

Shirley is survived by her children Sherry (Thomas) Demers of Manchester, NH, and John Hamilton of Manchester, NH; and her siblings, James (Marie) Taylor of Orbisonia, PA, Ruth Dobesh of Omaha, NE, William Taylor of Hesston, PA and Bonnie (John) Gomez of Manchester, NH. She is preceded in death by siblings, George, Frances, and John.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brittany (Jason) Blanchard, Haley Demers, Sayler Hamilton, Kendal Demers, Alley Hamilton, and one great grandchild Brayson.

She was a woman of great faith and belonged to the Congregational Church of Hooksett where she volunteered on many committees. She was a member of The Hooksett Garden Club, helped at the Food Pantry, Community Kitchen, and rang bells for the Salvation Army. She had a fulfilling career as a nurse and enjoyed spending her time sewing, baking, and doing crafts with family.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 2nd at 10 A.M. at The Congregational Church of Hooksett, 5 Veterans Drive in Hooksett.
