Robert Jursik Obituary

ALLENSTOWN- Mr. Robert F. “Bob” Jursik, 52, of Allenstown, passed away on May 24, 2018 in Concord Hospital after a period of declining health.

Born in Denville Township, NJ, Bob was the son of the late Robert C. and Patricia (Hyde) Jursik.  He was raised and educated in New York and was a graduate of Cathedral Preparatory Seminary.  He later attended St. John’s University where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in History and a Master’s Degree in Modern European History.  He had been a resident of New Hampshire since 1988.

Bob was a well-known and beloved member of the New Hampshire faith community.  He served as Vice President and Director of Marketing for New Hampshire Catholic Radio WICX 102.7 and was instrumental in its launching in 2015.  He was a longtime past member of the Knights of Columbus Council #112 in Concord, serving as District Deputy, Faithful Navigator and State Director.  He was named Knight of the Month in November of 2009.

Bob worked as an adjunct public speaking teacher at Daniel Webster College in Nashua.  He also taught at Gonville and Caius University, England.

Bob was a volunteer for the NH Republican State Committee and was a recognizable voice during his longtime participation with the Concord Coachmen Chorus. He was an avid Yankees fan and also enjoyed playing the piano.  He will be remembered for his one of a kind sense of humor and admired for his ability to overcome any challenges set before him.

He is survived by his dear cousin, Patricia Morrissey of Long Island, NY and his former wife, Lisa Breton of Chicopee, MA.  He also leaves countless friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 29th at 10 A.M. in Christ the King Church, 72 South Main St. in Concord.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Penacook.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob’s memory may be sent to NH Catholic Community Radio, PO Box 42, Bradford, NH 03221 or NH Catholic Charities, 215 Myrtle St. Manchester, NH 03104.  Assisting the family with arrangements is the Petit-Roan Funeral Home in Pembroke.  To share a memory or offer a condolence, please visit www.petitroan.com
