BOW – Richard A. Wombolt, 86, of Bow, passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at the Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord surrounded by family, following a period of declining health.
Born on June 1, 1935 in Concord, he was the son of the late George and Alice (Jones) Wombolt.
Richard was educated in the local schools and went on to serve his country in the United States Army. Upon his return he began working as a Mechanic for Greenlands Corp working there for over 47 years until his retirement. Richard loved to tinker, around the house and on just about anything. He loved to dance, especially with his wife, going fishing, hunting or being at home cooking. Richard could never turn down a game of cards or the crossword puzzle in the daily newspaper it was his mission to complete every crossword. Time spent with his family and friends was cherished and he will be missed at all gatherings.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, George Wombolt and Albert Wombolt as well as his granddaughter-in-law, Michelle Monticone.
He is survived by his wife Lorraine (Guimond) Wombolt of Bow, with whom he shared 68 years of marriage, son, Rick Wombolt and his wife Sherri of Bow, sister, Phyllis Weeks of Pittsfield, three grandchildren, Danielle Foley and her husband Bob of Goodyear, AZ, Greg Wombolt of Deering and Brianna Wombolt of Bow, three great grandchildren, Braden Foley, Maddie Foley and Carter Wombolt as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 12 Noon at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen. The Still Oaks Funeral & Memorial Home in Epsom is assisting the family with arrangements. To share a memory or offer a condolence please visit www.stilloaks.com
