PITTSFIELD- Phyllis Ruth Snedeker, age 93, passed away peacefully at home with family near her on Sunday, September 25, 2022.
Phyllis was born on August 27, 1929 in Canaan, NH and raised up in Gonnick, NH., where she later met the love of her life and married in the year 1947, moving to Pittsfield, NH to have and raise a family of eight together.
Phyllis was not only well known by all for her famous cooking and baked goodies, she also owned a restaurant with her son called “Ma’s Country Kitchen” and worked as a stitcher for Globe Manufacturing for 40+ years, where she retired.
She was predeceased by her husband of 75 years, John Snedeker, Sr. in 2003 and her oldest son, John Snedeker, Jr. in 2020 as well as her brother and four sisters.
She leaves behind her seven other children and their spouses: Tony Snedeker of Alton, MaryJane Brown of Pittsfield, Marie Cheever of Northwood, Wanda Lang of Pittsfield, James Snedeker of Pittsfield, Donna Hutchins of Barnstead and Bonnie Vien of Gilmanton Ironworks as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Her children are having a Celebration of Life on Sunday, October 9, 2022 from 1 to 4 P.M. at Johnson’s Barn, 230 Ye Olde Canterbury Rd. in Northwood, NH for all family and friends that would like to join in remembrance of our beautiful, kind and loving mother.
