DERRY – Morris E. Rolfe, 86, of Derry, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023 at Parkland Medical Center with loved ones by his side.
Born on May 23, 1936 in Auburn, he was the son of the late Morris I. and Mary E. (White) Rolfe.
Morris was educated in the local schools and worked on the family farm from an early age. He enjoyed the outdoors and hunting in his younger years. In his later years he could be found taking a ride to Bar Harbor, ME in his Lincoln. Morris was employed for over 35 years as a school bus driver for the Auburn/Hooksett schools. He served on the Hooksett Village Fire Department and retired as a Captain after 32 years of service. He continued to serve the Town of Hooksett in a janitorial position until his retirement in 2001.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Florence Smith, Richard Rolfe, Elaine Young and Betty Sell.
He is survived by his son, James Rolfe and his significant other, Sandra Purssell of Hillsborough, daughter, M. Theresa Rolfe and her significant other Kenneth Chaput of Franklin, siblings, Hollis “John” Rolfe and his wife Maryann of Auburn and brother-in-law Richard Sell of Auburn, two grandchildren, Brenda Rolfe and Jeremy Corson, one great granddaughter, Kaydence Corson as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends from his apartment building.
Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 4PM-7PM at the Roan Family Funeral Home, 167 Main Street, Pembroke. A Graveside service will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 11AM at the Auburn Village Cemetery on Eaton Hill Road, Auburn.
