Marielle M. Demers

ALLENSTOWN – Marielle M. Demers, 83, of Allenstown, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at her residence.

Born on September 10, 1938 in Thetford Mines, Québec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Marie-Louise (Beaupreau) Isabelle.

Marielle was a good woman, hardworking and loving. Over the years, she cared for many children in town and treated each one as her own. She was a natural crafter and often sold her crafts in local stores and was also the secretary for Dr. Kondu for many years until her retirement. A longtime communicant of St. John the Baptist Church in Allenstown, she took great pride in being a member of the Ladies of Sainte Anne as well as the St. Therese Rosebush Society.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by six siblings.

She is survived by her husband Benoit Demers of Allenstown, with whom she shared 65 of marriage, her three sons and their families, Yves Demers and his wife Susan, Alain Demers and his wife Ruth-Ellen and Daniel Demers and his wife Kristin; four sisters, Lorraine Drouin, Ginette Demers, Brigit LaBrance and Diane Sampson; seven grandchildren, Dr. Alissa Dimos and her husband James, Genava Demers, Brendan Demers, Brianna, Jeremy, Rachel and Jesse Demers; two great grandchildren, Chandler and Penelope as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 10AM-12PM in The Roan Family Funeral Home, 167 Main St, Pembroke. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home beginning at 12PM. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Allenstown.
