PITTSFIELD – Mr. Kenneth R. Coleman, 75, of Pittsfield, passed away at Concord Hospital on Thursday, November 17, 2022 after a period of declining health.

Kenneth was born on July 30, 1947 in Manchester, CT, son of the late James and Rosemary (McCarthy) Coleman.

Ken was raised and educated in Colchester, CT. Ken was a graduate of Bacon Academy, where he was known as a star baseball pitcher; and was almost drafted for the Boston Red Sox. After tearing his rotator Cuff his senior Year his career aspirations were changed when he became subject to the Vietnam draft.

An honorably discharged Veteran, Ken served three tours in Vietnam as a member of the U.S. Air Force, stationed in the Philippines, where he was a Chief Flight Mechanic.

Prior to his retirement, he spent many years in construction, specializing in sheet rocking in the Manchester, CT area.

Ken lived most of his life in Manchester, CT and retired to his second home of Milton, NH. After briefly moving from Milton to Lewiston, ME, Ken had recently returned to New Hampshire in order to be closer to his family.

Ken was an avid collector of all sorts ranging from Hot Wheel cars to antiques of all kinds. Besides his fond love of buying, trading, and selling, he enjoyed being outside and fishing.

He was predeceased by his sister, Karen Coleman.

He is survived by his two children: his son, Mark Coleman and his wife Rebecca Dean of Gilmanton; as well as his daughter, Melissa Coleman of Newberry, FL. He also leaves behind three grandchildren: David Coleman of Wakefield NH, Valerie (Oliver), and Evan Coleman of Gilmanton, NH.

Ken is loved and remembered by his longtime companion, Marie Michaud of Lewiston, ME as well as his former wife and dear friend, Luann Coleman, of Newberry, FL.
