ALLENSTOWN- Mrs. Janice A. (McNamara) Towle, 87, of Allenstown, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family after a period of declining health on November 6, 2021.
Born in Manchester, Janice was the daughter of the late Glenn O. and Gladys (Richards) McNamara. She was raised and educated in Allenstown and was a graduate of Pembroke Academy. She later graduated from Keene State with her Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a school teacher with the Derry School System for over 30 years.
Janice was an active member of the Suncook United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the church choir. She was an avid Red Sox fan.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Rodney A. Towle and her three siblings: Frances Cloutier, Richard McNamara and Thomas McNamara.
She is survived by her three children: Glenn M. Towle of Freedom, Ann T. O’Brien of Allenstown and Carol F. Towle of Hillsboro. She was the loving grandmother to Julie Ramos and her husband Isaac, Jeffrey Towle, Jacob Towle, Nathan MacDall and his wife Leah, Andrea Therrien and her husband Nicholas, Coreen Wright and her husband Marlon and Kristine Ferguson. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog, Chico.
Calling Hours will be held on Friday, November 12th from 6 to 8 P.M. in the Petit-Roan Funeral Home 167 Main St. in Pembroke. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 13th at 1 P.M. in the Suncook United Methodist Church 160 Main St. in Pembroke. Burial will follow in Moore Cemetery, Loudon.
