Georgianna Joaquin Obituary

Georgianna Gertrude (Sinclair) Joaquin, 81, of Concord NH, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2020, at her home, surrounded by her loving husband and children.

She was born on March 11, 1939 in Concord, to Gertrude Rebecca (Foote) Sinclair & Quincy Volney Sinclair. She was the youngest of their six children. She graduated in 1957 from Concord High School and went on to work for the New England Telephone & Telegraph Co. in Concord for 23 years and then for Concord Hospital for 15 years. She married her sweetheart, Edward H. Joaquin, on October 7, 1961 and has been married to him for the last 59 years.

In her younger years, Georgie enjoyed sports, skating with her husband and then her kids, family vacations, baking treats for her family (always testing them first to make sure they were ok) and spending summers at their camp on Lake Winnipesaukee. As she got older, she enjoyed watching her favorite sports teams (the Red Sox and the Patriots) as often as possible, with her beloved dog Baxter in her lap, along with her son's dog Maggie when they visited. She also enjoyed going for afternoon car rides with her husband, especially when they stopped for ice cream. She loved to laugh and will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Georgie is predeceased by her son, Scott E. Joaquin and her five brothers - Arthur, Robert, Richard, Conway and Allen, who recently passed away in September.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Joaquin, her daughter Cheryl and her husband Dennis Hill of Concord, and her son Edward "Chip" Joaquin of Waltham MA. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law Sheila Sinclair of St. Cloud FL (formerly of Bow NH), her niece Kim (Sinclair) and her husband Tim Neal, also of St. Cloud FL and her niece Stacey and her husband Gary Abbott of Ridgeland SC, along with other nieces, nephews and cousins.

Per Georgie's wishes, there will be no church or graveside services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to the charity of your choice.
