Gaetanne N. Berube

NORTH FORT MYERS, FL - Gaetanne N. Berube, 79, of N. Fort Myers, FL., formerly of Allenstown, N.H., passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at her home in Florida surrounded by family. Gaetanne was born on May 8, 1944 in Sherbrooke, Québec, Canada. The daughter of Rose Armande Beauchemin (Champagne) and Philisaire Boutin. Gaetanne moved to the United States in 1954.

She graduated from Colebrook Academy in 1963, and shortly thereafter married her husband of 60 years, Donald Berube Sr. She was a homemaker and school bus driver while her sons were young, and then business partner with her husband, Don in Trucking and Retail Truck Accessories. Gaetanne enjoyed fishing, baking, gardening, knitting, spending time with family, and the casino. She traveled the world to places including Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, the Caribbean Islands, and many countries throughout Europe. Gaetanne and Don Retired to Florida in the early 2000’s.

Members of her family include her husband, Donald Berube, Sr.; sons, Richard Berube and Donald Berube, Jr. Grandchildren; Alexander, Andrew, Deven, Tiane, Stephen, Shane and Brian.

Gaetanne was predeceased by her mother Rose, sister, Madeline and son, Reginald.

Calling hours will take place on Friday, April 19, 2024 from 4pm-7pm at Roan Family Funeral Home in Pembroke, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 10 School St. Allenstown, NH on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 9:30am followed by a committal service at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, River Rd. Allenstown. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Gaetanne’s memory be directed to Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908.
