Eleanor F. Boyd

Eleanor "Ellie" Boyd, 87, of Center Barnstead, NH passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 peacefully at home. Born on February 9, 1936 in Beverly Farms, MA.

Ellie's career spanned various roles from working as a crossing guard for the Beverly, MA Police Department to delivering mail in the rural town of Center Barnstead, NH. She also found great fulfillment as a volunteer EMT on the Center Barnstead Fire Department for over 25 years. Ellie had a passion for gardening and working in her flower beds. She enjoyed traveling with her husband during their working and retirement years and their adventures took them to places like California, Montana, Oklahoma and along the east coast into Florida and Louisiana. When not adventuring Ellie and her husband, Rodney could be found at Dunkin Donuts or The Circle Restaurant ready with a wave or friendly conversation. Ellie's hobbies included sewing, baking and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney T. Boyd and her children, Victor Emeney and Pamela Emeney.

Ellie is survived by her loving children, Jennifer Young, Thomas Boyd and daughter-in-law, JoAnn Boyd, Amy Boyd, and Cynthia Boyd; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023 from 6pm to 8pm at Roan Family Funeral Home-Still Oaks, 1217 Suncook Valley Hwy Epsom. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 11am at the funeral home followed by a luncheon. Please join us in remembering and celebrating the life of Ellie Boyd.
