HOOKSETT, NH- It is with extreme sadness and heavy hearts that we announce that Our beloved Cecilia S. Moyo of Hooksett left the earth to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the age of 58 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack. Born on June 20, 1963 in Mberengwa Zimbabwe, she was the daughter of the late Reverend Ephias and Esther (Gambiza) Moyo Mavingire.
She was a strong, intelligent, sharp-witted woman with a passion for learning. She received an associate’s degree in biological Science as well as Medical Laboratory Technology certification from UMASS Lowell where she went on to work as a Lab Technician for many years. She loved with all of her heart and family meant everything to her. After her sisters passed on she took her, nieces and nephews under her wing and loved them as her own. Even though she came from a big family, she still individually knew and loved not only her family but members of her extended family as wells.
She was a natural, capable and avid communicator which made it so easy for her to talk everybody and she loved to have conversations with strangers no matter where she went. Her natural gift coupled with generosity beyond words made championing various charitable causes locally and abroad in her home country of Zimbabwe come naturally and to become such a joy for her. Her charitable organization, Mednpo is mainly focused on helping clinics and hospitals in the Mberengwa district where she was born. She also helped underprivileged children with school supplies and clothing especially at Svita primary working where she worked in collaboration with the school headmasters and teachers. She really wanted to and she managed to make a difference in the society and lift the Moyo Mavingire legacy
Cecilia is survived by her siblings, four brothers as as well as many nieces, nephews.
Cecilia’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were blessed by her understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that she with us.
