Greenville – Carolyn A. Turner, 86, of Greenville, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family with love on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Southern NH Medical Center in Nashua, NH.
Born on August 26, 1936 in Omer, MI, she was the daughter of the late Donald V. and Dorothy A. (Smith) Gray.
Carolyn was the true definition of matriarch to her family, she was a strong, independent and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to so many. She truly cherished her time with family, reading books, baking, playing the piano and organ for Parish of Transfiguration, St. Patrick’s Church and St. Elizabeth Seton in Bedford. She shared her love of music with her whole family. She had a special bond with all of her family members and while her memories will be carried for years to come, there is a place in our hearts that is missing from this loss.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James E. Turner in 1993, her son John M. Turner in 2021, siblings, Dorothy A. Gray and Scott Gray.
She is survived by her nine children, Mark Turner of Berlin Germany, Patricia A. Turner of Manchester, Pamela A. Turner of Roseville, MN, Catherine A. Turner of Newberg, OR, Matthew Turner of Portland, OR, Daniel Turner of Manchester, Ann M. Turner of Manchester, Paul Turner of Greenville and Robert Turner of New Ipswich. Two siblings, Donald Gray and his wife Barbara of VA and Terry Gray and his wife Coleen of MN, seventeen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
