Obituary

EPSOM – Cara Russell-Keegan, 54, of Epsom, NH passed away at her home on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. She was born in Concord on May 23, 1969, the daughter of Leonard W. Russell and the late Terry L. (Hopps) Russell. 

Cara attended Concord High School and received a Clinical Medical Assistant Degree from Hesser College in Manchester, NH. She enjoyed playing sports and skiing in her youthful years, and especially enjoyed her summer vacations at the family home on Swan’s Island, Maine. She spent several years with her two daughters living and enjoying life in Palm Bay, FL. She has courageously battled several illnesses which have limited her career and consumed her adult life. Her continual wish was “to just live a normal life and be able to go to work”. Her later years were brightened by her constant companion, her black lab, Bali. 

Besides her mother, Cara was predeceased by her husband Scott Keegan. She is survived by her daughters, Audrey Coleman of Epsom and Katy Russell and her partner, Josh Daniels of Epsom; her father, Leonard Russell and his wife, Kimberly of Saco, ME; grandchildren, Rylee and Trenton Coleman of Palm Bay, FL; brother, Matthew Russell and sister Kirstin Lambert both of Saco, ME. 

A graveside service will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery, 130 Village St., Penacook, NH on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Cara’s honor to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation, give.bafound.org.
