Bryan Basil Beck snuck away when nobody was looking to visit his neighborhood friends the Wudykas and Ted T. on September 3, 2023.
Bryan was born in Boston Massachusetts November 18, 1944 and attended Watertown, MA High School. He married his high school sweetheart and sister’s best friend, Joanne, and they raised two children together.
Bryan spent much time during his childhood on Suncook Lake in Barnstead, NH and eventually made Barnstead home for his family. He was known to enjoy a Budweiser and Lucky Strike (or a few) while visiting the locals. He proudly supported his family and worked tirelessly for many years as a self-employed carpenter. He loved working alongside his brother and at times his son. He built the home he’s lived in since 1977. Like any true carpenter, some things await finishing touches.
Unfortunately, an accident ended his career facilitating a downward spiral of his health. With his doctor’s professional support and guidance, he created a long-term debilitating relationship with Purdue Pharma which he never wanted to escape thus greatly impacting the trajectory of his life.
Bryan lived his life on his own terms - pushing the limits and breaking the rules. He would want you to know that he meant no harm. Prior to his decline in health, Bryan enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved his adventures with Joanne on the bike - especially their trip to Sturgis, SD.
Bryan is survived by: wife Joanne; son Bill; daughter Kim Therrien, husband Dave; brother William Beck, wife Jennifer; sister Gail Ozuna, husband Gabriel; grandchildren Matthew and Kristen Therrien; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Basil and Phyllis Beck and his much loved four legged friend, Brody.
There will be no services and if you are so inclined, donations in Bryan’s honor can be made to the Taylor Rose Foundation by visiting www.trnfoundation.com. The Roan Family Funeral Home - Still Oaks Chapel in Epsom is assisting the family with arrangements. To share a memory or offer a condolence please visit www.roanfamilyfuneral.com
