William
Mcfarlin
Apr 14, 1953 — May 1, 2026
CONCORD – William Henry McFarlin II, 73, of Concord, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 1, 2026, at home, surrounded by his loving family, after a period of declining health.
Bill was born on April 14, 1953, in Wichita, KS, the son of the late William Henry and Claire (Ames) McFarlin. He was the husband of Mary Dianne Bohdan of British Columbia, Canada.
Bill grew up in Epsom, NH and in his younger years, traveled extensively across the country, embracing adventure along the way. He went on to spend his entire career as a roofer and handyman, eventually owning and operating his own business, “What’s His Name Handyman Services.” He worked locally until his retirement and was known for his ability to fix just about anything, thanks to his cleverness and deep practical knowledge.
Bill had a deep compassion for others, especially those less fortunate, and felt a strong connection to members of the local homeless community. He often visited encampments, sharing music and companionship. He loved playing the electric guitar, particularly rock ‘n’ roll.
A generous and selfless man, Bill would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. He was a friend of Bill for over 30 years and previously led meetings at St. John the Baptist Church in Suncook—an enduring reflection of his commitment to helping others. He will be remembered as happy, fun-loving, and adventurous, always on the move and full of life.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, twin sister, Willicia “Sissy” Pickering, Fred Greene, Richard Greene, and Helen Greene.
Bill is survived by his children, April McFarlin, Jennifer McFarlin of Concord, William A. “Alex” Bohdan and his wife, Heather of Allenstown, and Claire Bohdan, Darlanne Bohdan and Dagny Bohdan all of Ontario, Canada; eight grandchildren, TJ and Candace McRea, Lindsay-Marie Bohdan and William A. “Alex” Bohdan Jr., and Patrick, Phillip, Thomas, and Jordan Joyce; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 3:00-5:00PM at the Roan Family Funeral Home – Still Oaks Chapel, 1217 Suncook Valley Highway, Epsom. A private green burial will be held for Bill. To share a memory or offer condolences please visit www.roanfamilyfuneral.com.
