Victor F. Huse, Sr., 86, of Pittsfield passed away on February 4, 2021, after a period of declining health.

Born on November 1, 1934, he was one of nine children born to the late Albert, Sr. and Louise Huse.

He graduated from Dover High School in 1953. In 1957, he enlisted in the United States Army where he

served his country as a Corporal for two years and was awarded The Good Conduct Metal.

After marrying Florence D. Briggs in 1960, the couple settled in Pittsfield where they raised their two

children, Victor F. Huse, Jr. and Lisa M. Huse and made lifelong friends.

A hard-working man, Victor spent many years as a professional meat cutter for Rich Plan of Northern

New England and in 1978 received the Covenant Friendship Award. He spent more than twenty years as

the janitor for both Pittsfield Middle High School and Barnstead Elementary School. In 2013, Victor

retired from Barnstead Elementary School and devoted more time to a profession near and dear to his

heart - butchering. Victor spent more than 60 years traveling New Hampshire butchering farm animals,

all the while, educating farmers about his trade. He was proud of the fact that he was able to teach his

son, Victor, Jr. and two grandsons, Nathaniel and Brandon, the trade in order to keep his legacy alive.

In the last couple years of his life, Victor became a supporter of the Victory Workers 4-H Club, where he

enjoyed sharing his life-long gardening and farm to table experiences with the young members.

An avid Red Sox fan, Victor also enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, playing cards, going to

the fairs to socialize and watch the children show their animals, and interacting with the towns people

when he was out and about on his various daily trips to town.

Victor found a friend and touched the hearts of every individual he met and will be missed dearly by his

friends and family.

He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Florence and his daughter, Lisa.

He is survived by his son, Victor F. Huse, Jr., grandchildren, Nathaniel Huse, Sr., Natasha Cole, Nadia

Saucier, Nina Huse-Desrosiers, Dylan Huse, Sean Nelson, Brandon Heath and Brianna Heath; a brother,

Wendall Huse; two sisters, Nancy Towle and Miriam Burrows; sister and brother in-law, Martha and

Donald Fife; several great grandchildren, as well as, numerous other extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Lisa Huse or to the
