CENTER BARNSTEAD - Sophie S. Buote, 102, beloved wife of the late Edward R. Buote of Manchester, passed away suddenly at Vintage Hill, where she was living on October 12, 2024. Born in Manchester, Sophie was the daughter of the late Andrew and Maria (Paczkowski) Wydra. She was raised and educated in Manchester and was a graduate of Central High School. She worked for Anchor Electric until she retired in 1982. Sophie enjoyed spending time with her family, family was everything to her. She loved being outside working in the yard, shoveling, raking and walking. She looked forward to taking us girls to the beach every summer on the Sunday bus and swam in the ocean all day long. She played golf every summer while we were growing up and bowled on Tuesday nights in the fall and winter months. She always had a smile on her face and had a contagious laugh. She liked playing cards, making puzzles, playing left, right, center during the holidays where she would be at large gatherings. She was the bomb! She was predeceased by husband, Edward R. Buote, son, Russell E. Buote, grandson, Christopher Buote, son-in-law Marc R. Doyon, brother Joseph Wydra, sister Hedwig Roberts and brother Edward Wydra. Sophie is survived by her son, Robert J. Buote of Epsom, daughter Betty A. Doyon of Center Barnstead, daughter Marianne Fisk of Florida and New Hampshire, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In accordance with her wishes, a Graveside Service and burial will be held at The Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Cemetery in Goffstown on Monday, October 21st at 10AM. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to Vintage Hill LLC, 10 Berry Avenue, Pittsfield, NH 03263 for the continuation of assisted living for the elderly. A resident for over a year, Sophie resided there once she needed 24-hour care. They took wonderful care of her and treated her like family.
