Obituary

MANCHESTER- Simone Irene (Rondeau) Langford, 85, of Manchester, passed away at Evergreen Place on March 23, 2023, one day shy of the 19th anniversary of her husband, Dick's death. Born in Manchester, Simone was the daughter of the late Alcida and Emma (Poisson) Rondeau. She graduated from Pembroke Academy in 1956 and married Richard L. "Dick" Langford in 1958. After the birth of their two girls, the couple built a home in Allenstown. They lived on Ridge Road for 40 years. The family spent several years camping through the NH State Park and White Mountain National Forest campgrounds before securing a seasonal site at Pine Acres with two other Ridge Road families. After the girls left the nest, Simone and Dick spent several years boating on Lake Winnipesaukee before hitting the open road in their motorhome. Simone loved to knit, crochet, do crafts, play cribbage and make puzzles. She was a longtime communicant of St. John the Baptist Parish and was a member of the St. Therese Rosebush Society. Simone is survived by her two daughters, Lynn Langford Bartlett and husband Douglas of Laconia and Lori Ann Langford of Manchester; 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and her sister-in-law, Jacqueline L. Clark of Allenstown. She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy E. Blais in 2020. Lynn and Lori wish to thank the outstanding staff at Evergreen Place for their exceptional care and devotion to "Mem" during the last decade of her life. A graveside service will be held n Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 10AM at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, River Road, Allenstown.
