CONCORD- Mrs. Shirley A. (Chenette) Hamel, 88, of Concord, formerly of Allenstown, passed away peacefully at home on May 23, 2025 after a period of declining health. Born in Penacook, Shirley was the daughter of the late William and Ida (Osier) Chenette. She was raised and educated in Concord, was a graduate of Concord High School and had been a resident of Allenstown for most of her life. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a secretary. Shirley enjoyed reading, handcrafts but most of all, spending time with her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Normand E. Hamel, her brother, Robert F. Chenette; and her sister, Virginia Dow. Shirley is survived by three sons: Wayne Hamel of Chester, Ernest Hamel and his wife Dianne of Concord and Alan Hamel of Epsom. She was the sister to William J. Chenette of Loudon. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jarod, Wayne, Jr., Joshua, Morgan Lynn and Eric; as well as her great grandson, Jason Christopher.
