Pembroke – Shirley Ann Brown, 86, of Pembroke, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at the Epsom Healthcare Center. She was born on December 14, 1938, in Pittsfield, NH, daughter of the late Harold Henry and Mamie A. (Mettevia) Whitcomb. Shirley was the devoted wife of 58 years to the late Robert J. Brown. Shirley was a compassionate and loving woman who was wonderful with children. She treasured time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Shirley was quiet and soft-spoken but always had an open heart for those who needed a helping hand. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Eunice Mahoney and Arlene Bartlett; and brothers, Harold Whitcomb, Robert Whitcomb and Richard Whitcomb. Shirley is survived by her daughter, Patricia Derkacz and her husband, Kevin of Pembroke; grandchildren, Nathan Derkacz of Pembroke, Zachary Derkacz and his wife, Tiffiny of Deerfield, and Brianna Hoyt and her husband, Anthony of Pembroke; six great grandchildren, Tristen and Elijah Derkacz, Marlee and Hazel Derkacz and Hudson and Atticus Hoyt; and many nieces and nephews.
