LOUDON- Mr. Scott Wiren, 83, of Loudon, passed away peacefully in the care of the Granite VNA Hospice House on May 26, 2025 after a long period of declining health. Born in Concord, Scott was the eldest son of the late Allen and Doris (Young) Wiren. He was raised and educated in Concord and was a graduate of Concord High School, Class of 1960. He went on to attend the University of New Hampshire, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Dairy Science. Scott enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served his country from 1965 until the time of his honorable discharge in 1969. In earlier years, Scott was employed as a dairy inspector for the State of New Hampshire. He worked in plant operations for Weeks Dairy and later retired from Oakhurst Dairy. Scott was a Boston sports enthusiast, especially hockey, as well as an avid bowler, and a devoted collector of postcards, match covers, milk bottles, and vinyl records. He also enjoyed photography, particularly taking pictures of trains—one of his lifelong interests. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, David Wiren. Scott is survived by his daughter, Kirsten Wiren and her husband Miguel Soto of Loudon; his siblings, James Wiren and his wife Joanne of Concord, Nancy Raynes of Concord and Susan Bowie of Tilton; and his beloved grandson, Felix. Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, June 1st from 1 to 3 P.M. in The Roan Family Funeral Home, 167 Main St. in Pembroke. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held on Monday, June 2nd at 10:30 A.M. in The New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
