ALLENSTOWN - Sandra A. McKenney, 77, of Allenstown, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Elliot Hospital in Manchester following complications from a procedure. She was born on August 14, 1946, in East Derry, NH, daughter of the late Francis X. and Elva I. (Pitt) Lee. Sandy was educated in the local schools and was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy Class of 1964. She worked for over 28 years with NE Telephone prior to her retirement. She devoted most of her time to her beloved town of Allenstown, serving 10 years on the Board of Selectmen as well as the Budget Committee. She was a member of the Allenstown Master Plan, Planning Board, CNHRPC Commission, Trustee of the Trust Funds, Cemetery Trustee and A.R.A, all together devoting 23 years to the town. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edgar "Jerry" McKenney. She is survived by her children, Raymond Holland and his wife Katherine of Pembroke and Robert Holland of Manchester; her brother, Ronald Lee and his wife Deena of Actworth, GA; Tina Gagnon who was like a daughter to her; four grandchildren, Charlene Moody, Scott Holland, Justin Holland and Kelsey Holland; one great grandson, Bradley Davidson; one nephew, Ryan Lee; and one niece, Kimberly Lee. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2024 from 10am to 12pm in The Roan Family Funeral Home, 167 Main Street, Pembroke. A Chapel Service will be held on Monday, March 18, 2024 at 11am at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
