She was born February 4, 1929 in Providence, R.I, the daughter of Ruth O. Lank (Butnam) and Clinton Lank.

In 1977, Reny and Ogden purchased "Boyd's Market" in Pittsfield. Reny loved the store and enjoyed all the patrons, who would come in daily. She would listen to their stories, ask how their day went, and would give advice and support. Reny was the quickest cashier you ever knew.
Reny enjoyed traveling around NH, Vermont, and Maine, as well as several bus trips throughout the states and Canada. Her favorite was vacationing annually on Campobello Island in New Brunswick, Canada, the home of her ancestors.
