Obituary

HOOKSETT- Ronald (Ron) Fanny, 71, of Hooksett, New Hampshire, went to be with the Lord on July 2, 2022. He passed peacefully in his home due to health complications at the side of his loving wife, Denise. Ron was born on June 27th, 1951, to Albert and Eva Rose Fanny in Suncook, New Hampshire. After graduating from Pembroke Academy in 1970, he went on to steady employment in several skilled trades, including a career as a machinist - working for General Electric Aviation for nearly 40 years. Ron was predeceased by his parents and his brother Robert Fanny. He is survived by his wife Denise (Soucy) Fanny and their sons: Brian Fanny and his wife Jacinta, Shawn Fanny and his wife Kathy, and Jason Fanny and his partner Sarah. He is also survived by his sisters: Cecile Moore and Constance Fortier. Ron will also be missed by his five grandchildren: Ryan; Kyleigh, Kaden, Jennifer, and Nick and one great-grandson; Noah. As a loving husband of nearly fifty years to Denise and father to his three sons, he enjoyed spending time with them and had many stories to share. He was a proud man and a great provider for his family, always putting them first and always grateful to be a husband and a dad. Ron was a fan of Boston and New England sports teams, and while it may be less known, he also enjoyed classical music, especially the violin. As a devout Catholic, Ron prayed the rosary daily and attended mass regularly in person and virtually on TV with his wife, Denise. Ron also served as a eucharistic minister at St. Marie Parish in Manchester, NH. Both at work and in his personal life, if you knew Ron, you knew that he was extremely handy and faced problems and challenges head-on with creativity and persistent determination. Nothing was impossible, and he would offer his help to all that asked for it. While Ron will be sadly missed by his family and friends, in his final time with us, Ron wanted to share a message with everyone. With all that is going on in the world - he asked for all of us to pray, not just for him or any single person, but for all of us to pray for everyone and all the time. On Saturday, July 16th at 10:30 AM, a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St John the Baptist Church at 10 School St, Allenstown, NH. There are no calling hours. A burial is being planned for a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the St. John the Baptist Roof Fund, mailed to 10 School Street, Allenstown, NH 03275. Assisting the family with arrangements is The Roan Family Funeral Home of Pembroke. To share a memory or offer a condolence, please visit www.roanfamilyfuneral.com
