HOOKSETT - Robert E. Evans, 75, of Hooksett, NH passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at The Birches of Concord. Born on January 13, 1948 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Edwin and Eunice (Lewis) Evans. Robert was a graduate of Robert W. Traip Academy in Kittery, ME and received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Maine. Robert worked as an Electrical Engineer for Public Service Company of New Hampshire (now Eversource) for over 30 years. Robert enjoyed many outdoor activities such as golfing, hunting, gardening, and fly fishing. He even took pride in tying his own flies. Other hobbies that Robert thoroughly enjoyed included reading, playing poker with his friends, and cheering on the New York Yankees, the New England Patriots, and the Boston Celtics. Family and friends will miss his calm demeanor, his gentle smile, and his quick sense of humor. Those who knew Robert will remember a warm and inviting man who could make friends with anyone. Robert is survived by his wife, Pamela (Welch) Evans; daughters, Lindsay Evans of Concord, Amy McCollough and her husband, Larry McCollough of Georgetown, TN and Rebecca White and her husband, Eric White of Cleveland, TN; granddaughters, Haley Yarber, Hannah Yarber and Emma Long and a sister, Linda Richie and her husband, David Richie of Berry, KY. Calling hours will take place on Friday, February 10, 2023 from 3PM to 5PM at Roan Family Funeral Home, 167 Main St. Pembroke. A private burial at First Baptist Church Cemetery in Kittery Point, ME will take place in the early summer at the convenience of the family.
