PEMBROKE- Rita L. (Johnson) Rapaglia, 55, of Pembroke, passed away at the Concord Hospital on March 8, 2025 after a sudden illness.

Born in Methuen, MA, Rita was the daughter of Paula (Wilson) Johnson. She was raised and educated in Lawrence, MA, before moving to New Hampshire over 25 years ago.

Rita was the owner and operator of Portable Paws Mobile Pet Grooming in Suncook. Her life revolved around helping animals and always being there for anyone in need.

In addition to her mother, Rita is survived by her daughter, Vicki Welch; her siblings: Chris Johnson and Amy Wilson; her grandsons, Dante and Fallon; as well as her nieces, nephews and countless friends.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, March 21st from 5 to 7 P.M. in The Roan Family Funeral Home, 167 Main St. in Pembroke. A Celebration of Her Life will be held at a later time.
