HOOKSETT - Richard F. "Zap" Zapora, 75 of Hooksett passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 16, 2022 at his residence. Born on July 9, 1947 in Manchester, he was the son of the late Edward and Stella (Karp) Zapora. Zap was educated in the local schools and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army, later serving in the Army Reserves before his honorable discharge. He was employed for many years with PSNH doing commercial metering. He enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox and tinkering in his garage. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Debra (Dube) Zapora of Hooksett, her children, Tasha Argo and her husband Rob of Weare and Rebecca Hossfeld and her husband Tom of Indiana, grandchildren, Aaden and Audrey Hossfeld, a sister, Patricia Thomas of St. Albans, VT as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. A private graveside service will be held in the spring at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. The Roan Family Funeral Home in Pembroke is assisting the family with arrangements.
