Obituary

ALLENSTOWN- Mr. Richard P. "Rick" Gagne, 75, of Allenstown, passed away peacefully but unexpectedly at home after a brief illness on December 16, 2025. Born in Manchester, Rick was the son of the late Joseph and Gabrielle (Brousseau) Gagne. He was raised and educated in Manchester and resided there before moving to Allenstown in 1982. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1969 and proudly served his country for over 3 years prior to his honorable discharge in 1972. Prior to his retirement in 2015, Rick was employed with General Electric Aviation in Hooksett. He was previously employed at the Felton Brush Co. in Manchester. An avid outdoorsman, he greatly enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a past member of the NRA and the Pointers Fish & Game Club. In earlier years, he coached baseball when his children were young. More recently, he enjoyed woodworking and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. Above all else, family was paramount to him. He was predeceased by his siblings: Roland, Dennis and Roger Gagne. Rick is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Laura M. (Lariviere) Gagne; his two children, Melissa Cogan and her husband Edward of Allenstown and Christopher Gagne and his wife Jessica Twitchell-Gagne of Pittsfield; his siblings, Patricia Moulton and her husband Richard of Raymond, Diane Dees of Allenstown, Donald Gagne and his wife Theresa of Manchester, Joan Buckley and her husband Walter of Michigan, Robert Gagne and his partner Gretchen of Manchester and John Gagne and his wife Lynn of San Diego, CA; his 7 grandchildren, Hannah, Holley, Hunter, Hope, Brady, Gabriel, and Grayson; his four great grandchildren, Abraham, Anderson, Magnolia and Clover; as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 23rd from 12 to 2 P.M. in The Roan Family Funeral Home, 167 Main St. in Pembroke. A Funeral Service will follow at 2 P.M. Burial with Military Honors will take place in the spring at St John the Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rick's memory may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the Disabled American Veterans (D.A.V.), 275 Chestnut St. Manchester, NH 03101.
