Obituary

PEMBROKE - Richard R "BASE" Boissonneault, formerly of Manchester, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 1, 2022. Richard was born on February 15, 1958, the son of the late Laurent and Joan (Loiselle) Boissonneault. Richard attended Manchester West High School graduating in 1976. He went on to complete a machine operation course at the NH Vocational and Technical Institute as well as a US Crane Inspectors Course through the Crane Institute of America. He worked for the Public Service Company of NH from 1978-2003 and spent time working at the Seabrook Nuclear Power plant. From 2003 on, he has been a self-employed carpenter who could do just about anything including plumbing and electrical. He took great pride in making sure every job was done to perfection. Richard loved life and spent many years enjoying outdoor activities. He previously owned a charter boat and would charter tuna fishing excursions off the coast of New Bedford. His biggest love was deer hunting. He has many deer mounts and was so proud of his 800 plus pound moose. He enjoyed rock and ice climbing with his brother Paul and spent many hours hunting with one of his best pals, David Soucy. He was always up for an adventure. Richard never met a stranger. He loved people and conversation. He had a very kind heart and a very intelligent mind. Richard is survived by his brother, Paul Boissonneault of Manchester; sisters, Denise Boissonneault of Meredith, NH and Janice Boissonneault of Gilbertsville, KY; his significant other, Jane Gordon of Pembroke and her daughter Katie Chaput; a very special longtime friend, Cheryl Welch of Pembroke, a very close buddy, James Peters, of North Fort Myers, FL, and a man he highly respected, Harold "Hal" Murray of Hooksett. He is also survived by his beloved feline friend, Christa, who spent the last night with him cuddled by his side. "BASE", as most everyone knew him by, will be dearly missed. A celebration of "BASE'S" life will be held at a later date. Assisting the family with arrangements is The Roan Family Funeral Home in Pembroke.
