CONCORD - Ratko Jokic, 76, of Concord, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family on Thursday, February 17, 2022.
He was born on April 29, 1945 in Zadar, Croatia, the son of the late Zivko and Marija (Skopelja) Jokic.
Ratko held many professions through the years, here in the United States he was employed by Bow Finishing as a printer. Ratko was a handyman who enjoyed tinkering with anything he could find. He was the family mechanic making sure that all the cars were running and well maintained. He had a way with animals, known for feeding the chipmunks, they found him every spring and waited for what he had to offer. More than anything family was his entire world, his kids especially it was a bond never broken and his love for them will live on.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by three siblings, Mile, Krsto and Zdravko.
He is survived by his adoring wife, Staljinka (Surac) Jokic of Concord, with whom he shared over 50 years of marriage, his beloved children, Vjekoslava Jokic, Milan Jokic, Zoran Jokic, Branka Jokic and Silvana Jokic, siblings, Bojka Vorkapic, Mileva Katic and Zlatko Jokic as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 beginning at 12 Noon at the Roan Family Funeral Home, 167 Main Street, Pembroke. Friends are invited to begin gathering at 11:30am. Interment will follow at Blossom Hill Cemetery.
