Obituary

HOOKSETT – Philip A. Arnone, 89, of Hooksett and Vero Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, surrounded by family. He was born Felice A. Arnone on February 3, 1936, in Cambridge, MA; son of the late Philip and Adele (Giannotti) Arnone. Phil was educated in the local schools, after graduation he went on to serve his country in the U.S.Army. In 1959, he changed his name legally from Felice to Philip. Papa, as he was known to many, loved his family, never missed a sporting event or anything else related to supporting his kids', grandchildren or great grandchildren. He never met a stranger he couldn't have a 25-minute conversation with. His laugh was contagious, and his dad jokes never ended. He played hockey during his younger years, a tradition which each boy in the family carried after him. His winters in Florida and some summertime trips to NH, he loved golfing and was affectionately known as "The Mayor" by his friends in Florida. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Richard Arnone and Robert Arnone as well as his daughter-in-law, Barbara Arnone. He is survived by his wife, Jean (Tamborini) Arnone of Hooksett and Vero Beach, FL, with whom he shared 66 years of marriage. Their children, Philip Arnone, Jr. of Vero Beach, FL, Janine Beauchamp and her husband Scott of Freemont and Reneé Emmonds and her fiancé Joseph Savia of Lynn, MA, grandchildren, Philip Arnone IV and his wife Morgan, Melissa Arnone, Bryson Arnone and his fiancé Brittney Pulsifer, Kyle Emmonds and his fiancé Laura Anderegg and Christopher Jon Emmonds, great grandchildren, Nolan and Greyson, sister-in-law Joyce Moore and niece, Christine Towle. In accordance with his wishes there are no calling hours. A public graveside service will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 11:30am at Head Cemetery, Pleasant St. Hooksett. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his memory to St. Jude Childrens Hospital. The Roan Family Funeral Home in Pembroke is assisting the family with arrangements.
