CONCORD – Pegge E. Covatis, 74, of Concord, passed away on Tuesday, August 20,
2024, with family by her side.
She was born on January 6, 1950, in Concord, daughter of the late Wallace and Joyce
(Ashley) Emerson. Pegge was educated in the local schools and went on to earn her
Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She worked for many years as a NICU and Special
Care Nursery Nurse. She loved her babies and enjoyed helping them. She was
employed by Concord Hospital for over 30 years and in her later years worked as a
traveling nurse before settling down at Greenwich Hospital until her retirement.
Pegge was a kind soul who loved nature, gardening, cooking and baking, and relaxing
by the ocean. She enjoyed crafting and more recently making cards, but her truest love
and joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Pegge was predeceased by a son, Gregory Covatis.
She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Flanders and her husband Jerry, sons,
Nicholas Covatis and Alexander Covatis and his significant other Christina Czarkowski,
sisters, Eileen Douillette, Evelyn Pierce, and Elizabeth Clark, grandchildren, Jesse,
Noah, Mariana, Amelia, Talia, Sienna, Esme, Louis, Evanthea, Nicholas and Isabella
Covatis as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024 at 11AM in Floral Park Cemetery, Pittsfield. A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 21, from 12PM-3PM at The Clubhouse at Island Shores, 51 Franconia Road, Penacook, NH.
