Pauline Theresa
Gagnon
Jul 10, 1943 — Aug 5, 2026
Epsom, NH
EPSOM – Pauline Theresa Gagnon lived life on her own terms, which she did until she passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at the age of 83.
She was born on July 10, 1943, in Manchester, NH, to the late George and Lena (Joyal) Rochette.
Pauline married her first husband, Francis B. Batista, on July 10, 1965. They shared 43 years together until Alzheimer’s took Francis. She was later remarried to Edward E. Gagnon, who also preceded her in death on March 26, 2021.
Pauline loved to read, play bingo, enjoy family card games, and spend time going to the mountains and the beach. She was Madame State President for the Fraternal Order of Eagles in 1996.
Pauline was also a very impressive candlepin bowler, achieving many awards and accomplishments throughout her years with the New Hampshire Candlepin Bowling Association. She was the 1976 State Champion and led her team to a first-place victory in the 1978 NHCBA Ladies Open. Her outstanding score of 575 helped lead the team to a new record. Pauline continued to make her mark on the lanes, taking first place in the 1977-78 Pepsi-Cola Pro-Am. In the 1982 Allstate Championships, she won five out of ten events – an impressive accomplishment that spoke to both her skill and her love of the sport.
Pauline is survived by her son, Scott, and his wife, Laura; one granddaughter, Kaitlynne; one great-grandson, Paxton; sister, Lorraine Guimond; nephew, Michael; and nieces, Maureen and Michelle. Deepest gratitude to friend and neighbor, Louise Skora.
There will be no services per Pauline’s request. Please celebrate Pauline’s memory in your personal way and thank you for your understanding.
