PEMBROKE- Paul C. Cote, of Pembroke, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, March 14, 2022.
Paul was born on October 10, 1946 in Dover, NH to the late Robert and Leontine (Gagnon) Cote. He was raised and educated in Rollinsford and was a graduate of South Berwick High School. He later attended Nathaniel Hawthorne College, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree, while working full time.
Paul served in the United State Marine Corps straight from high school during the Vietnam War, serving two tours from April 24, 1965 to April 1, 1969. He continued his service in the United States Army National Guard and retired as a Major after 30 years
Paul was employed as a Liquor Investigator for the New Hampshire Liquor Commission from 1971 until his retirement in 2001 as a senior investigator. He started his career in law enforcement as a police officer in Rollinsford, NH.
A jack of all trades, he loved working on all things mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. He loved woodworking and was his own home improvement man. Besides working, Paul enjoyed reading and watching shows on historical events.
He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda J. (Lassonde) Cote of Pembroke, son, Scott Cote and daughter-in-law Kimberly Cote of Flower Mound, TX, sisters, Roberta Hiltz of Thornton and Arline (Cote) Vaughn of Wasilla, AK, and grandchildren, Evan Cote, Jacob Cote, Brooke Cote, Jackson Trent, and Aiden Trent.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 11AM at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen. In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul's memory may be sent to the American Heart Association, 2 Wall St. #104, Manchester, NH 03101 or the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
