PEMBROKE- Mr. Paul M. Cognata, 72, of Pembroke, passed away at home on January 1, 2023 after a battle with cancer. Born in Everett, MA, Paul was the son of the late Charles and Lydia (Prestia) Cognata. He was raised and educated in Everett, was a graduate of Everett High School and later attended the Wentworth Institute. Prior to his retirement, Paul was employed in sales for Closed Circuit Television and also as manager for product reliability in computer manufacturing. Following his retirement, Paul worked at Walmart until earlier this year. Paul was known for helping others around him. He participated in the Prison Ministry in both Concord and Berlin for over 18 years and earned recognition when he was named Assistant Chaplain. He is survived by two sons: Mark and John; his sister, Karen (Cognata) Coolidge and her husband Kendall; his nephew, Matthew Coolidge and his wife Kathryn as well as his grandniece and nephew, Aedan and Emma. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no services at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul's memory may be sent to Bayada Hospice, 194 Pleasant St. Suite 9, Concord, NH 03301.
