Obituary

Hooksett – Patricia M. Ziemba, 82, of Hooksett, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, surrounded by family. She was born in Manchester on September 4, 1942, daughter of the late Albert W. and Mary (Joyce) Malfait. Patricia worked as a school secretary for over 20 years with the Hooksett Village School until her retirement in 2004. She was a consistent source of encouragement and support for all the students she encountered. Patricia left the Hooksett Village School to help take care of her granddaughter, Riliegh, who was a source of immense pride and joy for her. One of her most significant achievements in life was dedicating her days to being Rileigh's Nana. Patricia had a knack for spelling and grammar and was the go-to for many working on school papers or projects. She was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles, going camping, shopping and loving animals of all kinds. She was a great supporter and was always donating to organizations like NHSPCA, Wounded Warrier Project and St. Jude Children's Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Richard Ziemba of Hooksett, with whom she shared 63 beautiful and fulfilling years of marriage, daughter, Robyn Cushing and her fiancé, Erin Collins, son, Timothy Ziemba and his wife Catina, one granddaughter, Rileigh. She is predeceased by her fur-grandchildren Molly and Demi, and there is no doubt the two of them are currently getting lots of treats and loves from their Nana. There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held this Spring at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Bedford. The Roan Family Funeral Home in Pembroke is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to one of her favorite organizations, Wounded Warrier, NHSPCA or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
