Obituary

CENTER BARNSTEAD- Patricia A. (Hollis) Schatz, 79, of Center Barnstead, passed away peacefully at the Epsom Healthcare Center on September 27, 2024, after a long battle with dementia. Patricia, better known at Pat, was born in Salem, Massachusetts, to Lester Hollis and Elinor (Craig) Hollis, Pat attended schools in Danvers, Massachusetts, and graduated from Hamilton High School. She held many accolades as an equestrian, training and showing horses throughout New England culminating in a trip to the Mexico City Olympics in 1968. Pat enjoyed learning and attended Saint Anselm, NHTI and UNH earning multiple Bachelor's degrees across a plethora of health care fields as well as a Master's degree in Health and Human Services. She spent a majority of her professional career working in Manchester and Concord. Also, she owned and operated Carousel Creations in Laconia until it closed in 1991. Her most recent was in the photo department at Wal-Mart until her retirement in 2010. During her retirement, she could be found enjoying any one of her many passions of gardening, knitting and quilting. She had a collection of over 200 dolls, some she proudly made herself. All of these activities made for a peaceful retirement. Pat was predeceased by her husband of over 40 years, John Schatz. Pat is survived by her partner of 13 years, Alex Cole of Center Barnstead; her three daughters: Sonya Baillargeon and her husband, Roland of Concord; Robyn Tilton of Clinton, Utah; Heidi Jones and her husband Paul, of Manchester; as well as her grandchildren Halle and Jaylen Jones; Nicholas Miner; Jonathan and Misty Mack; Christopher Forbes; and Maryssa and Skyelar (Scooter) Baillargeon. Instead of a service, there will be a Celebration of Life at her home at 14 Pineo Road in Center Barnstead on October 19, 2024, from 12pm to 4pm. All family and friends are invited to attend.
