PEMBROKE – Normande "Norma" Roy, 88, of Pembroke, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her family and her loyal dogs in Naperville, IL She was born in Manchester, NH on February 10, 1937, daughter of the late Eugene and Solange (Ricard) Cantara. Norma worked for many years as a caretaker with the New Hampshire Hospital until her retirement. She enjoyed baking, going to bingo and finding a great sale. She had limitless love for her grandchildren and cherished the time she had with them. Her love to her family was her greatest gift. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Roger Roy as well as two brothers, Robert and Richard Cantara. She will be remembered by her children, Richard Roy and his wife Colleen and Leisa Nevins and her husband Timothy, sister, Pauline Boisvert, grandchildren, Andrew, Charlie, Kinnon, J.J., Bradi, Christopher, Solomon, Ely, Ben, Abraham, Kolbie, Abigail, Bailey and Cameron, one great grandchild, Rowan, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A period of visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025; from 11AM-12PM at St. John the Baptist Church, 10 School Street, Allenstown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held beginning at 12PM. Interment will follow at 2pm at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
