ALLENSTOWN – Nicole Marie “Nikki” Canning, 48, of Allenstown, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 15, 2026, after living with illness for several years.

She was born on March 4, 1978, in Lowell, MA, the daughter of Laura J. (Canning) Merrill and Albert M. Bianchini Jr. Nikki was raised in Massachusetts before moving to Allenstown at the age of 5. She was educated locally and attended Pembroke Academy. Growing up, she especially treasured the summers she spent in Massachusetts with her dad.

Family was everything to Nikki. She cherished the time she spent with her loved ones, especially her nieces and nephews, and was a wonderful friend to many. No matter how much time had passed since you last saw her, being with Nikki always felt the same, as though no time had passed at all. Her beloved Chihuahua, Arlo, was her whole world and her constant companion. Nikki enjoyed coloring, spending time by the water, waterparks, and long car rides with the music turned up, singing along, especially when Arlo was by her side. She loved ’90s hip-hop, and there was nothing better than singing along and dancing to her favorite songs. She especially enjoyed spaghetti and bread dinners, a tradition she shared with her father and fiancé, Josh. Nikki will be remembered for living life on her own terms – with a stubborn streak, a free spirit, and a unique personality all her own. She brought positive energy wherever she went, and when Nikki walked into a room, she lit it up with her unmistakable and commanding presence.

Nikki is survived by her son, Dominick Canning of Worcester, MA; her parents, Lori Merrill and her husband, Brian of Allenstown and Al Bianchini and his wife, Sue of Nutting Lake, MA; her beloved fiancé, Joshua Daniels of Concord; her siblings, Kayla Palmer and her husband, Darren of Manchester, NH, Tyler Merrill and his wife, Brittany of Chichester, NH, Cody Merrill of Concord, NH and Joanna Ozolins and her husband, Michael of Nutting Lake, MA; her nieces and nephews, Aurelia, Tori, Jaxon, Isabella, Lilly, Bentley, Ally, Selena, Collin and Keagan; and many cherished friends.

A celebration of Nikki’s life will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, starting at 1:30PM at Lori and Brian’s home, 6 Lubern Avenue, Allenstown.
