Obituary

BEDFORD – Nancy A. Beaudry, 88, of Bedford, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Bedford Hills Nursing Home with family by her side. Mrs. Beaudry was born on the family farm in North Thetford, VT on Christmas Day in 1935 to parents Shirley (Wilcox) Page and Donald Sutherland. She attended elementary schools in the towns of Weare, Goffstown and Manchester, she was a 1953 graduate of Manchester Central High School. Nancy graduated from Keene Teachers College (Now Keene State) in 1957, majoring in elementary education. Her teaching career took her to Goffstown, Pease Air Force Base, Hooksett, Londonderry and Pembroke, NH retiring in 1995. She was active in the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit #37 of Hooksett, joining in 1975. She served in several offices and received a life membership in 2001. Mrs. Beaudry was also active in TOPS #152 in Bow, starting in 1980 and attained her weight goal to become KOPS (Keep off pounds sensibly) shortly after joining. She enjoyed reading, going to lunch with friends, playing Yahtzee and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Robert in 1941 and Paul in 2015 as well as her daughter, Valerie in 2003. She is survived by three children, Patrick Tierney (Marianne), Carol McCann (Wayne) and Judith Levasseur (Robert), grandchildren, Stephen Tierney, Holly and Donald Garland, Ben, Levasseur, Jay Levasseur, Meaghan Gagnon (Richard DeRouchey), Mandi Settles and Joanna Tierney, great grandchildren, Emma and Anna Settles, Oliver Preve, Robert DeRouchey, Isla, Harper and Easton Levasseur, siblings, Richard Hurlburt, Leola Sherman and Brenda Proulx. A Visiting hour will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 from 10AM to 11AM at the Roan Family Funeral Home, 167 Main Street, Pembroke. A brief service will be held in the funeral home beginning at 11AM. Interment will follow at Pembroke Hill Cemetery in Pembroke. Memorial donations may be made to the Unit #37 of the American Legion Auxiliary, 5 Riverside Street, Hooksett, NH 03106-1521 to be used to their Children's Christmas Fund or to Visiting Nurse Association of Manchester and Southern NH, 1070 Holt Ave #1400, Manchester, NH 03109.
