TILTON - Moise T. Begin, Jr., 88, of Tilton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at the New Hampshire Veterans Home.
Moise was born on October 2, 1935 in Manchester, son of the late Moise T. and Viola (Emmett) Laporte. He was raised and educated in the local Manchester schools, calling the same city his home for most of his adult life. Following high school, Moise went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army for several years.
Moise was a truck driver for some time and later worked as a Locksmith for over 30 years. He enjoyed building model cars and airplanes, was a master woodworker and could build just about anything he set his mind to. He also volunteered his time with many VA Organizations through the years.
Besides his parents, Moise was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Ann (Flodin) Begin in 2018 as well as his sisters, Dorothy, Doris and Katherine; and brother, Joseph Laporte.
He is survived by his children, Deborah Foroutan of Manchester, Brenda Converse and her husband Mark of Pembroke, Theodore "Ted" Begin and his wife Elizabeth of Northfield, Robert Begin and his wife Lori of Epsom and Michelle Bougas and her husband Bill of Colorado; his sister, Viola Bemis, 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, December 19th at 10 A.M. in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
