Obituary

HOOKSETT - Michael W. (Mike) Brennan, 72, passed away peacefully at home on April 29, 2022 after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born on June 22, 1949 and was the son of the late John J. and Marie J. (Young) Brennan. Michael was the beloved husband and best friend of Susan (Reed) Brennan. He was the beloved father of Casey Brennan and his wife Alison of Danvers, MA, Robert Brennan and his wife Colleen of Troy, NH. He was predeceased by his daughter Erin Fronk in 2021. He is survived by his six much loved grandchildren, Sarah, Madison, Reilly, Gabriel, Shay, Alyla and his precious great granddaughter Stella Rose, brother, Stephen Brennan and sister-in-law Ginny Brennan, sister, Margaret (Brennan) Banas, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dale and Patty Reed, Sandi Ormsby, nieces and nephews, Daniel Brennan and his wife Amanda, Joel Brennan and his wife Tomomi, Katie Anderson and her husband Brandon, Cassandra Banas and Matthew Banas as well as a special nephew, Terry and his wife Kathy Ormsby who were all wonderful friends to Mike throughout his life and especially during his illness. Mike is also survived by some very special friends, Patrick Walsh, Mike and Kathy Curran, Karen Holmes and Steve Pierangeli, Hank and Louise Deshaies many good times were shared with these cherished friends at home and around a fire pit solving the world's problems. Michael was a proud Army Veteran. He enlisted in 1969 and was honorably discharged in 1971 at the rank of Sergeant. He was attached to the 608th Trans. Co. in Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam. He was a lifelong member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and was active in his local Post 2106 in Wakefield, MA for 20 years before moving to Derry, NH. Michael was a graduate of Wakefield High School in Wakefield, MA and Daniel Webster College. He was a long-term employee of Raytheon Service Co and Raytheon Missle Service. He finished his career as a Quality Manager at Ferrite, Inc of Nashua, NH. Michael was a huge Patriots Fan. He cheered for them when they were called the "Patsies" in Shaefer Stadium and was ecstatic with the success that they had with Tom Brady and Bill Belichick at the helm. He spent many happy Sundays cheering them to victory in his Patriots/Red Sox Den with family and friends. Above all Michael's greatest love was for his family. As a devoted father and grandfather, his legacy and kind spirit will live through his children and grandchildren. Mike received exceptional care from New Hampshire Oncology Hematology and Concord Hospital's Payson Center for Cancer Care, many thanks to all the doctors, nurses and staff that helped make Mike's journey easier for him.
