Obituary

Mary Rose Priolo, 62, of Pembroke passed away at home on January 10, 2023 with her husband by her side. Mary was born on May 20, 1960 in Manchester New Hampshire to Ernest Bisson and Rachael Vigneau. She graduated from Central High School in 1978. Mary worked in the electronics industry for the first part of her career and eventually found her true passion later where she volunteered at several animal shelters helping to care, train, foster, and place cats and dogs. Later Mary opened up her own cat shelter, Kitty Kompanions, which she ran for several years. In 1983, she met her husband, Martin Priolo, at then Sanders Associates. They were married in 1985 and though they did not have any children, they had many cats and dogs over the years. Mary retired in the late 2000's and Martin followed her in 2013. She enjoyed travelling with her husband, gardening, reading mystery novels, and rehabbing their 1860's home. Mary especially enjoyed those winter vacations to a warm Caribbean island - she loved the ocean. Bar Harbor, Maine was also a special place that they visited often. Mary is survived by her husband, Martin, her sisters, Corinne Miville and Geraldine Dionne, her nieces, Lorrette Banks, Chantelle Kapp and husband John, Renee Bisson, Julia Miville, Chantel Mozal and husband Nick, her nephews Ernie Bisson and wife Sarah, Gerry Dionne, Chuck Miville, and her dear friend Linda Cartier and husband Bob. Great nieces and nephews: Keleigh and Bill, Danielle, Emily, Samantha, Meriden, Chris, Conrad, Garrett, Owen, Kowen, Vinnie, Frankie, and Julia. Mary had an especially close relationship with her nieces and nephews and will be missed by them. She had an open door policy where they knew a warm house, meal, and bed was always available for however long needed. Mary was predeceased by her father Ernest, her mother Rachael, her brother Gary and her in-laws Francis and Rena. There are no words that can express how much she will be missed by her husband and her family. She was a joy to be around, full of life, a teacher to all of us, and a beautiful soul. A celebration of Life well be held Friday, January 20, 2023 from 5PM-7PM at the Roan Family Funeral Home - 167 Main Street, Pembroke.
